The subcontractor’s submittals are a key window into their thinking & understanding of the project.

The design team’s enclosure submittal review is therefore key to ensure alignment across the entire team.

We support the architect’s focus on aesthetics & lead the submittal technical review by:

  • Reviewing the subcontractor’s preliminary design documents and drawings to ensure that their design:
  • Supports the architect’s design intent,
  • Meets the performance requirements,
  • Appropriately reflects the discussions held in the Design Assist phase.
  • Reviewing profile, shop & fabrication drawings for each system to ensure they will appropriately transfer the design intent into the built project,
  • Assisting the architect & owner to determine if substitutions are in the best interest of the project by reviewing the technical, performance & schedule impacts.
  • Working with the architect & contracting team to revise the testing regime to minimize out-of-sequence work while maintaining internal visual access for testing before internal finishes installation.

  • Review RFI’s & substitution requests
  • Review fabrication drawings
  • Facilitate installation strategy & testing discussions
